The six vehicles we’re asked for most often. Our wider fleet extends beyond this page — if you want something not listed, tell us and we’ll source it.

How to Choose

Which supercar should I hire in Melbourne?

Match the car to the job: the Ghost or G63 if you want to be driven; the Huracán, 488 or 720S if you want to drive; the Urus or G63 if you need seats and luggage.

If you want to be driven, start with the Rolls-Royce Ghost and work back. The back seat is the whole point of the car — coach doors, silence, and an arrival that needs no explanation — which is why it leads for weddings. The Mercedes-AMG G63 is the second choice: easier through traffic, easier with luggage, and the right call for airport work.

If you want to drive, the choice is between three two-seaters. The Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica and Ferrari 488 GTB are the classic supercar experience — one naturally aspirated and loud, one turbocharged and effortless. The McLaren 720S is the outright pace option. All three are demanding in city traffic and best enjoyed through the Yarra Valley, which is worth being honest about before you book.

If you need seats and luggage, the Lamborghini Urus and the G63 are the only two listed here that carry five adults and their bags. The Urus is the one that does both jobs — dinner for five on Friday, the Yarra Valley on Saturday.

If it is for photographs, the 720S’s dihedral doors and the Huracán’s proportions photograph best; the Ghost is the strongest car for formal portraits.

What’s the difference between self-drive and chauffeured hire?

Self-drive means you collect the car from our South Melbourne showroom and drive it yourself. Chauffeured means the car and a suited driver come to you.

Self-drive starts at the showroom. You collect the car at the agreed time, we spend fifteen minutes walking you through the controls and the handover, and you return it to the same place. Licence and minimum age requirements apply, and they vary by vehicle — we confirm the number for your car with your quote.

Chauffeured hire works the other way around: the car and driver come to your address, your hotel or your venue, and the timing is handled for you. There are no licence or age requirements to ride.

You can also mix the two across a single booking — take the Huracán yourself on Saturday and have the Ghost chauffeured on Sunday. Read more on self-drive hire or the corporate chauffeur service.

Can I hire a vehicle that isn’t on this page?

Yes. This page shows the six vehicles we’re asked for most often — our wider fleet extends well beyond it, and most requests can be arranged with notice.

Tell us the model you’re after on the enquiry form, or call 0485 030 010, and we’ll tell you straight whether we can arrange it and what notice it needs. Some vehicles can be confirmed within days; rarer requests take longer. If we can’t source it, we’ll say so and point you at the closest match on this page rather than talk you into something that doesn’t fit. The fastest way to find out is to check your date.

How much does supercar hire cost in Melbourne?

Rates start at $1,499 for 24 hours with the Mercedes-AMG G63 and run to $2,499 for the Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren and Rolls-Royce models.

Self-drive hire is priced by the 24-hour day rather than by the hour — a supercar for two hours is a lap, not a day out, and the rate reflects a full day with the car. Multi-day rates drop per day and are quoted on enquiry. Chauffeured bookings are priced hourly from a three-hour minimum.

Every quote is confirmed in writing before anything is paid: the rate, the refundable security bond, the deposit that secures the date, and the minimum age for your chosen car. Nothing is charged to ask.

Straight Answers

Before you ask.

The four questions nearly everyone has, answered straight.

“It’s more than I expected to spend.”

The rate covers a full 24 hours with the car, the handover, and the support line for the duration of the hire — not a timed lap with a minder in the passenger seat. Priced by the hour, cars like these look cheap and feel rushed. Priced by the day, the maths changes: a full day in a Huracán costs less than most people spend on a short holiday, and multi-day rates drop from there.

“What if I damage it?”

A refundable security bond is held for the duration of the hire and released after the vehicle is returned and checked. If nothing is wrong, you get it back in full. If something goes wrong, the bond caps your exposure and we talk you through what happens next — the number, what it covers, and the process are all confirmed in writing before you pay anything.

“I’ve never driven anything like this.”

Most first-time hirers are comfortable within ten minutes. The handover at our South Melbourne showroom takes fifteen — controls, drive modes, nose lift, where the car is wider than you think — and you leave when you’re ready, not when a queue forms behind you. These cars are easier to drive slowly than their reputation suggests; the G63 and Urus in particular are as easy as any family SUV.

“Is my date even available?”

Ask. The form takes two minutes, enquiring costs nothing, and one of our team will come back within the hour with a straight answer — what’s free, what it costs, and what’s required. Weekend dates in spring and summer go four to six weeks ahead, and the Ghost books furthest ahead of anything, so the sooner you ask the more choice you have.
